Globally locked. Yann (talk) 10:02, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This work is PD in the US but not in the UK where it was published, as Bohr died in 1962. I've added it to Category:Scans from the Internet Archive/non-free already, and posting here to inform admins. The file should be moved to the English Wikisource as it is in-scope there and they take files that are only PD in the US as well. Ciridae (talk) 05:26, 11 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Mass-message request for WLM-US 2023

Hello! I'm one of the organizers for Wiki Loves Monuments in the US. Could the following message be sent out to all of 2021's participating inviting them to this year's event? (The US did not participate in 2022)

Thank you! ~Kevin Payravi (talk) 00:31, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wrong categorizations made by user Superior6296

Hi

Can someone explains to @Superior6296: how categorizations works.

Have a look to these categories:

you can see that parent categories added by Superior6296 are wrong since they are in fact the chidren categories.

I have tried to explain that to Superior6296 with the case of "Flags of the Ottoman Empire" wrongly categorized under "Historical flags of Ottoman Algeria". Unsuccefully: [1].

--Poudou99 (talk) 03:16, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

These look to me more like well-intentioned (if misguided) edits than vandalism.
@Superior6296: what you are doing here doesn't make a lot of sense to me, either. Can you please explain your intention? And can you please pause what you are doing here and wait for consensus? (I'll also post on their user talk page.) - Jmabel ! talk 04:14, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sockpuppets proved on English Wikipedia

Hello everyone, I am here only to inform the Commons community of some proven sockpuppets. They are confirmed socks by Checkusers. Please see w:Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Marxist Economist. Marxist Economist, Indian Marxist Politician, Atal Bihari Vajpayee BJP and George Simon Ohm. Also to inform that George Simon Ohm after getting blocked and TPA revoked in English Wikipedia by Courcelles came to my talk page asking for help to get unblocked. Despite me telling him before that he shouldn't discuss about one project on other. Just brought it to notice rest depends on you. Shaan SenguptaTalk 13:56, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
